Robust Quishing Detection on Low-Resolution QR Codes via Feature Learning and Residual CNNs
Research on a hybrid feature-learning pipeline for detecting malicious low-resolution (69×69) QR codes. The work integrates HOG–LBP texture features, QR metadata, optional URL semantics, and a Residual CNN that reaches 0.9313 ROC-AUC — surpassing the 2025 XGBoost baseline while remaining robust to blur, compression, and rotation

- Robustness preserved under perturbations, with accuracy degradation ≤10% against Gaussian blur, JPEG compression, and rotation.
